Yarra Trams and Metro Trains miss January performance targets
As with all Public Transport Victoria operators, Metro Trains and Yarra Trams performance is measured each month for reliability and punctuality. Compensation in the form of a free daily ticket* is offered when the trams and trains don’t meet either or both of these targets. In January, both Metro Trains and Yarra Trams failed to meet their reliability targets for the month.

2019 Annual Report
Complaints to the PTO increased by 21% and staff issues overtook service delivery as the most complained about aspect of public transport. Complaints about public transport disruptions were 54% higher than last year.
