If you haven't raised your enquiry or complaint with the operator, please use the contact information below to do so. You can contact Metlink for complaints about public transport operators, or you can contact the operator directly. If you're not satisfied with the response you receive, you can contact us for assistance. If you would like independent advice about your concern, your rights and responsibilities, you can contact the PTO for advice prior to contacting the operator.
Bus operators are private companies which are contracted to the Victorian Government to provide public transport services. For a full list of bus operators, click here.
BusVic is a member of the PTO scheme on behalf of all the Victorian private bus operators which provide public transport passenger services.

Metlink is a private organisation co-owned by Metro Trains Melbourne and Yarra Trams. Its stakeholders also include the Director of Public Transport, V/Line Passenger and all metropolitan and regional bus operators through their association with Bus Association Victoria (BusVic).
Metlink has a contract with the State Government to provide public transport services including marketing and customer information, public transport signage, contact centre management, website management and collecting ticket revenue.

Metro Trains Melbourne (Metro) operates the metropolitan train network under a Franchise Agreement with the Victorian Government. Metro is responsible for delivering metropolitan train services and maintaining the suburban train network, trains, stations, sidings and train workshops.

V/Line is responsible for running the regional passenger train network, regional rail network infrastructure and inter-town coach services within Victoria. V/Line is a Government statutory authority.

VicTrack is a Victorian Government business enterprise, and is the custodial owner of land and infrastructure used for the public train and tram services, including track, signals, buildings and structures and communications networks. VicTrack also owns the majority of the trains and trams that operate on the Melbourne suburban system.
Land, infrastructure and trains and trams are leased to operators by the Victorian Government. The operators control and maintain the infrastructure and assets, including land, which they lease.
VicTrack is responsible for maintaining railway land that is not leased for the delivery of public transport services.
